Cookie Policy
Last updated 1 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how MeshRuby uses cookies and similar technologies on meshruby.com and related dashboards, including the installable web app. It should be read with the Policy of Use, Privacy Policy, and End User Policy.
1. Cookies and similar technologies
“Cookies” here includes HTTP cookies and similar storage such as localStorage, sessionStorage, the Cache Storage used by a service worker, and pixels or scripts that remember a device or preference.
MeshRuby is a static web application. Most preferences and sessions are stored in your browser rather than as classic first-party marketing cookies. Third parties we load (for bot protection) may set their own cookies.
2. What we use and why
We use these technologies only to run and secure the product, remember your choices, and (where you install the app) cache interface files. We do not use them to serve third-party advertising on MeshRuby.
- meshruby-auth (localStorage): vendor or admin access and refresh tokens so you stay signed in. Kept until you sign out or clear site data.
- mr-theme (localStorage): light or dark appearance. Kept until you change it or clear site data.
- mr-locale (localStorage): interface language (English, Spanish, Arabic, or Persian) and text direction. Kept until you change it or clear site data.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (third-party cookies and similar, on sign-in, sign-up, and related forms): distinguishes people from automated abuse. Duration and details follow Cloudflare’s documentation.
- Service worker and Cache Storage (when the app is installed or registered in production): stores MeshRuby interface assets so the app can open more reliably. Updated when we ship a new version; removed if you unregister the worker or clear site data.
3. Categories
Strictly necessary: authentication storage and Turnstile on protected forms. The dashboards cannot operate safely without a way to keep you signed in and to reduce credential stuffing and bots.
Functional: theme and language. These are not required to load the public site, but without them the interface forgets your accessibility and language choices on the next visit.
We do not currently set analytics, advertising, or social-plugin cookies on the MeshRuby site. If that changes, this policy will be updated before those technologies are introduced in a way that requires additional consent under applicable law.
4. Legal basis and consent
Where data protection law applies, necessary storage is used to provide the service you request (signing in, keeping a session, security). Functional storage for theme and language is used as a limited preference so the product remains usable; you can refuse it by not changing those controls or by clearing storage.
If you are in a region that requires consent for non-essential cookies, MeshRuby will not treat advertising or optional tracking as enabled unless that consent is collected. Today those categories are not used.
5. How to control storage
You can sign out to drop session tokens. You can change theme and language in the interface. You can delete MeshRuby site data in your browser settings (cookies, local storage, and cache). Blocking all storage may prevent sign-in.
Most browsers let you block third-party cookies; that may affect Turnstile on login and signup. You can also uninstall the MeshRuby web app and clear service workers from browser application settings.
Device firmware and operator apps outside this website may have their own storage; this policy covers the MeshRuby web properties listed above.
6. Retention
Browser storage lasts as described in section 2, or until you delete it. Server-side account, device, image, and telemetry records follow the Policy of Use and operational or legal retention, not this cookie list.
7. Changes
We will update this page when storage practices change in a material way. The date at the top is the latest revision. Continued use after an update constitutes awareness of the new description of technologies in use.
8. Contact
For questions about cookies or similar storage, use the vendor portal if you have an account, or the support channel MeshRuby provides to your organization.
