End User Policy
Last updated 1 September 2026
This End User Policy is the license and conduct rules for people who use MeshRuby software: the public site, vendor dashboard, admin console, installable web app, and interfaces that talk to MR.Optic and MR.Temp devices. It complements the Policy of Use. If they conflict on license scope, this policy controls the license; the Policy of Use controls acceptable use of the hosted service.
1. Who is an end user
An end user is anyone who accesses MeshRuby with a vendor or admin account, uses the installable app, or operates a MeshRuby-connected device for an organization. If you use MeshRuby on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind that company to these terms.
2. License grant
MeshRuby grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the software interfaces we provide, solely to operate your authorized MeshRuby account and enrolled devices, in accordance with documentation and this policy.
No hardware sale, firmware escrow, or source-code license is included unless a separate written agreement says so. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
3. Restrictions
Except as the law forbids MeshRuby to restrict, you must not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the dashboards, apps, or device software beyond what the product itself allows.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source, models, or protocols except where mandatory interoperability law applies and only after written notice where that law requires notice.
- Rent, lease, or provide MeshRuby as a service to unaffiliated third parties without MeshRuby’s written consent.
- Remove proprietary notices, bypass license or security checks, or use non-MeshRuby clients in a way that abuses APIs or brokers.
- Use the software to operate weapons systems or prohibited surveillance, or to violate export, sanctions, or telecom rules that apply to you.
4. Your content and device output
You retain rights in customer records, images, and telemetry you submit or that your devices generate. You grant MeshRuby a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, display, back up, and process that content only to provide, secure, and improve the services and to meet legal obligations.
You represent that device operators and photographed or monitored persons have been informed as required, and that image capture and temperature monitoring in each location is lawful.
5. Keys, commands, and confidentiality
Device keys, broker credentials, and command channels are confidential. End users must not share them outside the authorized operator group. Reset keys if compromise is suspected.
Only trained, authorized staff should send capture, read, configuration, or reset commands. You accept that a command may alter a device in the field immediately.
6. Updates
MeshRuby may update web apps, APIs, and device-side behavior. Updates may be required for security. Continuing to use the services after an update is acceptance of the updated software, still under this license.
7. Open source and third-party components
The product may include open-source or third-party components under their own licenses. Those licenses govern those components. This End User Policy does not limit rights you have under those licenses.
8. Warranty disclaimer
The software is licensed, not sold, and is provided “as is.” MeshRuby disclaims all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including that the software will be uninterrupted, that captures or temperature reads will succeed on every attempt, or that the software is free of defects.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers. In those places, MeshRuby’s warranties are limited to the minimum the law requires.
9. Export and sanctions
You must not use, export, or re-export MeshRuby software or devices in violation of export-control or sanctions laws that apply to you or to MeshRuby. You confirm you are not a prohibited party under those laws.
10. Term and termination
This license lasts while you have a right to access the services. It ends automatically if you breach it or if your account is closed or suspended. On ending, you must stop using the software interfaces and delete locally cached copies of the web app where practical.
Survival: restrictions, confidentiality, disclaimers, and the license to content already processed lawfully may survive as needed to wind down the services.
11. Relation to other policies
The Privacy Policy describes how personal data is handled. The Cookie Policy describes browser storage. The Policy of Use describes hosted-service rules, liability, and indemnity. Together they form the agreement for end users of the MeshRuby platform described on this website.
12. Contact
License questions can be raised through the vendor portal for account holders, or through the support channel MeshRuby provides to your organization.
